Free Insulation Road Show comes to Eastleigh
28-08-2012Local people will be able to find out more about an offer of free loft and cavity wall insulation when the Insulate Hampshire road show comes to Eastleigh Market on 25 August for 8.30am-4pm.
The Council is backing the scheme that offers residents free cavity wall and loft insulation subject to a free technical survey provided as part of the scheme. However, residents will now have until September to apply to insulate their homes for free, helping them to keep their homes warmer in winter, cooler in summer and save as much as £300 a year on their fuel bills (1) so the message from the Council is ‘don’t miss out’ on this great offer!
A Council spokesperson says “The Insulate Hampshire scheme aims to help as many residents as possible to save money on their fuel bills and reduce their carbon emissions. We are delighted that the scheme has been extended and would encourage our residents to take advantage of the free offer until the end of September.”
From the 1st January 2013 funding for subsidised insulation and projects such as Insulate Hampshire will end. This will mean that all residents will have to pay commercial prices for insulation, normally between £150 and £500, regardless of their personal circumstances.
High demand is anticipated in the forthcoming months, so residents are encouraged to contact the Insulate Hampshire team as soon as possible by calling 0800 952 0037 or going online at www.insulatehampshire.co.uk to apply.
(1) To qualify, applications must be received by 30th September 2012, with installations taking place until 30th November 2012. Due to expected high demand, this is subject to availability.
